Minister for Education and Library Honchun Ngandam stresses on quality education

NAHARLAGUN: Minister for Education and Library Honchun Ngandam laid the foundation stone for science block and inaugurated extended library building and boys common room while attending the valedictory function of 24th annual college week celebration at Donyi Polo Government College (DPGC) at Kamba in West Siang district on Friday.

Ngandam in his address appealed the student to be gentlemen and serve the society and become the part of state development in every sector. Stressing on the development of education scenario of state, he urged upon the teaching community to provide quality education to the students. At the same time he requested the students to concentrate in the academic activities too.

He said with introduction of science stream at the DPGC, the much needy students of the West Siang, Si Yomi, Lepa Rada and the students of Lower Siang will be benefited. He urged upon the students community to move away from clutch of drug which is affecting the health of the young stars.

On the other hand, Liromoba MLA Nyamar Karbak who also attended the function asked the district administration to immediately ban the illegal sale of alcohol and all types of gutka items in Kamba Circle which is affecting the health of the students and the public.
