TANGLA: As per the MHRD schedule, the Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India, started its inspection of schools of Assam from Wednesday. In Udalguri district, Suresh Balodi from the Department of Education and Literacy under the MHRD, Government of India, started inspection of Udalguri district schools on random visit basis and he inspected the Udalguri Town LP School and Udalguri Girls’ HS School on Wednesday in the first half.
During his visit, the MHRD official took stock of the academic performance, basic infrastructure facilities of the schools like electricity, mid-day-meal, sanitation, toilets, drinking water facility, classroom condition, computers, science laboratories and library facilities. He found that many of these facilities have not been provided to the students.
In the second half, Balodi inspected two more schools in and around Panery and Bhergaon under Bhergaon subdivision of Udalguri district and made a complete supervision of the schools. Meanwhile, more such random visits will be made in primary and secondary schools by more than 100 such MHRD officials from New Delhi to get a ground report on the teaching and learning facilities and infrastructure of the schools of the State.
