Minor gang-raped in Manipur

IMPHAL, March 10: While galand has the focal point for the tion for the March 5 mayhem, Manipur has also come to the limelight.

Reports say that on March 6 during the Holi festivity, some youths had fed an 11-year-old girl in Bishnupur district soft drink laced with alcohol. It is alleged that once she became intoxicated, four youths had gang raped her.

Police have registered a case. However, till date nobody has been arrested. Indications are that the victim is in the know of the crimils.

Meanwhile, the curfew and disruption of the truck services in Dimapur have affected food supply to Manipur.
