Mishap claims one life

Biswath Chariali, Feb 2: Bijay Baruah (24), a resident of Jorabari under Biswath Chariali PS, was killed on the spot on the NH 15 on Thursday evening when his motorcycle was knocked down by a vehicle carrier at Balipukhuri. Following the accident, the local people got agitated and blocked the highway for hours demanding speed breakers there and compensation for the victim’s family. Later, civil officials arrived at the spot and pacified the mob.
