Bongaigaon, March 22:  “In our last two sessions, we made some unwanted mistakes such as not selecting EMs from other community then Bodos, which will never be repeated in the next session if we form the government in BTAD,” said BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary on Sunday at a workers’ meet held at Kajalgaon. He said that this was a major mistake. “But now we have realized our mistakes and we will rectify it in the coming session. If we win then we will select EMs from every community of BTAD including Koch-Rajbongshi, Muslims and Adivasis,” he said.

This was a party workers’ meeting to prepare the BPF workers for the upcoming BTAD election. Addressing the gathering Mohilary said that no party other than BPF could win in BTAD. “People of BTAD know us. We brought development in BTAD region in the last 10 years. Because of this development, people will vote for us,” he said.

He said that that PCDR, ABSU and NDFB were all the same. “People of BTAD know that PCDR, ABSU and NDFB all are same. Their intention is to create terror in BTAD region in order to polarize votes and take political benefit. But they do not know that the people of BTAD are not fools,” said the BTC chief.

Talking about BJP and Congress, he said that both these parties would not win a single seat in the BTAD election. “These tiol parties can never understand local sentiment and hence they will not be able to convince the people of BTAD. They will not win a single seat. We know that we will win most of the seats in the coming election. According to our presumption, we may lose only three or four seats to independent candidate,” he said.
