Mixed response to bandh in Demow

DEMOW, September 21: The Assam bandh called by the All Assam Koch Rajbongshi Students’ Union (AKRSU) on Monday in protest against the Centre for ‘failing’ to grant ST status to the Koch Rajbongshis along with five ethnic groups within September 15, evoked mixed response in Demow. All shops, offices, and educatiol institutions remained open though few vehicles were seen plying on the road. No untoward incident took place.
