From A Reporter
SHILLONG, Feb 19: The Meghalaya Indigenous Youth Federation (MIYF) Warjaintia Circle, Amlarem on Sunday expressed dissatisfaction over the implementation of the draige construction works, widening (cutting of curves) works done by the executing agencies/contractor in the Dawki-Amlarem portion of the NH 40 Extension. Venting their discontent, the MIYF, in a press release, observed that the construction work is of third classed/sub standard that it don’t even match with the standard of a village/locality roads but the funds allotted is of NH standard. In this connection, the Federation urged the supervising agency, the MoRTH, Regiol Office, Guwahati to re-examine the works and reconstruct the same again to match with the NH Standard procedures as no one is privileged to misuse the public money. The Federation found that it becomes a concept to misused public funds in the NH-40E,the construction of Home Pipes is so closed to each one as it become the jokes of the day.
