MLA Anowar Hussain Says Syndicates Still Rampant In The Barak Valley

GUWAHATI: All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) Hailakandi MLA, Anowar Hussain alleged that the syndicates (betel nut, coal and uria), are still rampant in the Barak Valley. Anowar Hussain further charged that these syndicates are run from Dispur. “I do not know if the Chief Minister is aware of the situation because inspite of my repeated intimation, the CM paid no heed. And because I am probing the matter, certain people are hatching conspiracies against me”, said Anowar Hussain. Informing that a case was also registered against him, Hussain remarked that he notified the Director General of Police (DGP) about the issues on Wednesday and wished for a thorough investigation into the matter.
