MLA Chandan Brahma holds meeting with senior officials of Chirang

Bongaigaon, May 27: The newly-elected MLA of 31 Sidli (ST) LAC, Chandan Brahma on Friday held a meeting with the Chirang Deputy Commissioner (DC), Superintendent of Police (SP) and all heads of the departments in the conference hall of the district centre at Kajalgaon. Talking to media persons, Gagan Chandra rzary, District Information and Public Relation Officer of Chirang, said that in the meeting, various development schemes being implemented and the schemes to be taken up by the departments in the district were discussed. “In this connection, the MLA asked all the departmental heads to immediately submit to him write-ups on undergoing schemes, schemes already taken up and any innovative schemes for information and sanctioning funds from the government. Stressing the importance of restoration of peace and harmony in the district, he urged the Chirang SP, Sankar Brata Rai Medhi to take necessary steps for immediate setting up of more police outposts and police stations as per requirement in the district. Chirang Deputy Commissioner Rupak Kumar Mazumdar also asked to take needful action for enhancement of the Border Area Development Funds from his side,” the DIPRO said. Earlier MLA Chandan Brahma was felicitated by the DC and SP with aroi and xarai in the meeting.
