MLA Tirong Aboh Inaugurates PHC, Girls’ Hostel

Itanagar: Khonsa West MLA Tirong Aboh on Thursday inaugurated a 100-bedded girls hostel for Govt Secondary School and Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Dadam, the circle headquarters of Tirap district.

Tirap DC PN Thungon, Director of Social Justice & Tribal Affairs, Yumlam Kaha, Dadam circle officer Taju Thama, chiefs and gaonburahs attended the programme, an official release informed here.

Addressing the gathering, Aboh said that 100 bedded hostel was constructed by the PWD and funded by the Social Justice and Tribal Affairs, whereas the construction of the PHC was executed by the RWD and funded under NEC.

“The two projects have been a long felt need of the people of Dadam circle and creation of such infrastructure will benefit villages under Dadam administrative circle which is one of the thickest populated circle in the district,” Aboh said. He appealed to the villagers to develop a sense of belonging towards the infrastructure and to preserve it for years saying that such infrastructures are a priceless property of the entire community.

The MLA also advised the villagers, especially the youths, to refrain from anti-social activities and to concentrate on career building.

While congratulating the people of the circle for getting the much awaited hostel and the PHC, DC Thungon urged the people to seriously emphasize on education, health and hygiene, the release added.
