MMB chairperson denies allegation

MORIGAON, Sept 5: Morigaon Municipal Board (MMB) chairperson Archa Bordoloi has expressed displeasure at the Chambers of Commerce, Morigaon for allegedly involving her in anti-social work.

 At a press meet on Tuesday, the chairperson said that the members of Chambers of Commerce had got her involved in the closing down of construction of the Jajabor’s statute inside the Motiram Bora Park, whose construction was going on in full swing.

  Denying the allegation made against her by the Chambers of Commerce on Monday after a dispute took place between the chairperson and the organization at the site, she said that they should not cut down the branches of trees growing inside the park as the park was under the municipal board. Hence she had protested against it strongly. She also requested the organization to continue with the construction of the legend’s statute so that it could be set up inside the park on time.
