Mobile application launched to check MCC violation

Rangia, April 6: In a bid to check Model Code of Conduct (MCC) violation, Rangia District Election Officer Kailash Karthik launched a mobile application med Samarth on April 6. According to DEO Karthik, using Samarth any citizen can take an image or shoot a video of MCC violation along with description of the event. The app automatically captures the GPS co- ordites of the violation and sends a notification to the desigted MCC team, Karthik informed. The most striking feature of Samarth is the vigation feature which provides the exact route to the MCC team to the location of violations. The app has been tested in its alpha/beta version over the last 10 days and has been received by the users.Around 50 complaints have been received by the Rangia subdivisiol authority through this app so far, he added.
