Mock drill conducted

Kokrajhar, June 15: A mock drill was conducted at NTPC, Bongaigaon under the scenario ‘Uncontrolled release of chlorine gas from CW chlorination plant’ as per Disaster Management Plan of the power plant recently. Sources said the NTPC, CISF, NDRF, Powergrid, SDRF, State Police and State Fire Service took part in the joint exercise. As part of the exercise, a total of 17 victims from different locations of plant were rescued by joint team of NDRF, CISF and State Fire service. The rescued persons were given medical treatment by the medical team.
