Mock drill on earthquake preparedness at NPS

Guwahati, May 31: Rotaract Club of Guwahati City, daughter club of Rotary Club of Guwahati, in association with Assam State Disaster Magement Agency (ASDMA) and District Disaster Magement Authority (DDMA) conducted a mock drill on Disaster Magement under the project "Earthquake Preparedness for Schools" in the premises of NPS Intertiol School, Guwahati on Monday. Addressing students before the start of the programme, experts from the organizers of the event elaborated on various aspects of disaster magement and urged students to maintain calm and patience during the time of any disaster. Students were also shown the use of various devices including fire extinguishers etc., during the time of disaster. An interaction programme between students and the experts was also conducted during the programme.

A Mock Drill on earthquake preparedness was also conducted in school premises during the programme and deliberations were made to educated students about earthquake.

Over 1,000 students from NPS Intertiol School, Guwahati took part in the event.
