Modern traditiol village “Eden” to be opened

FROM A REPORTER

SHILLONG, Feb 5: Former ANVC-B camp at Eden Bari is now being transformed into a Modern Traditiol Village which will be known as “Eden” and will soon be open to the public.

“Eden is purely private and traditiolly based. Traditiol foods and drinks along with music will be the main theme of newly transformed camp. Former cadres of ANVC.B and villagers are working to build this place with limited sources as no support ever came from the government and the elected representatives,” Berrd N Marak proprietor of Eden said in a statement issued here on Sunday. He further said, “In a long run, we are planning to organize various programs on special occasions with focus on traditiol food, drinks and music. Eden will be a fusion of tradition with modernized facilities. We will in time add many more facilities which will include picnic spots, park, tural pools, children’s play ground etc..” He informed that the place will also be available for marriages, birthday parties and celebration of special occasions.

“We also plan to promote sports, adventure, cycling and music in Eden. Those learning to drive can also make use of the playground at Eden as many localities no longer allow their grounds to be used for driving classes,” he said adding things not allowed in Eden are bad mentality and destructive weapons as we want it to be free from anything that disturbs the peaceful tranquillity of the place.

However, the place is still under construction. It will be the first traditiol village in Garo Hills which will have all facilities focused in tradition.
