JORHAT, May 15: Activists of Asom Jatiyatabadi Yuva Chatra Parishad (AJYCP) Jorhat unit burnt the effigy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the heart of Jorhat town on Tuesday following hike in fuel prices for six consecutive times in the past one year. The irate protesters shouted slogans against Narendra Modi-led NDA government. They said that the government proved inefficient in implementing developmental works, instead it was hiking fuel prices and prices of essential commodities. This price hike was seriously affecting the middle class people of the country. The people of the country should oust the government from power, said Ritul Pathak, a member of AJYCP Jorhat unit.
