Mohilary optimistic about victory in BTC polls

KALAIGAON, April 4: The president of Bodoland People’s Front (BPF), Hagrama Mahilary claimed on Saturday that no political party, be it BJP or Congress, would pose any challenge for the BPF in the forthcoming BTC polls.

Mohilary, while talking to media persons on the sidelines of a campaign meeting of BPF candidate Jagadish Sarkar  for Mwdwibari constituency, said, “BPF will get the majority to form the next government in BTC.” Addressing the people’s gathering at Kalaigaon, Mohilary said that the BJP was making false promises to lure voters.  He said that the BPF had been working for the all-round development of the region. He said that BPF would try to fulfil all promises if voted to power. He also called upon people to vote for BPF candidates for peace and development in the region.

The meeting was also attended by BPF candidate Jagadish Sarkar along with MLA Kumli Basumatary and former MLA Maheswar Baro. Similar meeting were also held at Khairabari for another BPF candidate, Lwmshrao Daimary.
