Molestation slur on AGP leader

MANGALDAI, April 21: A crimil case has been registered against an activist of Asom Ga Parishad (AGP) of greater Kalaigaon area under Darrang district for allegedly trying to molest a housewife in broad daylight.  According to the First Information Report (FIR) lodged in Mangaldai Police Station, the complaint housewife alleged that Dushmanta th, an activist of AGP, came to her residence at about 2.30 pm on April 16 and taking the chance of the absence of her husband, tried to molest her. But as she raised a hue and cry, the accused immediately left the place.  On the basis of the FIR, the police have registered a case (Mangaldai Police Station Case No. 299/2015 under section 448/354 (B) of Indian Pel Code and started investigation.  Though the accused person is avoiding the police, the accused is reportedly trying to pressurize the victim to withdraw the case.
