Money, timber seized

SHILLONG, Nov 18: The East Garo Hills Police on Friday seized Rs 34, 65 860 from the possession of Linstone Ch Marak at Chatchagre village. The money has been dumped underground by the wife of the Commander –in-Chief (C-in-C) of the Garo tiol Liberation Army, Sohan D Shira. In the same incident, the police team came across a person identified as Simple Ch momin at Dorengre and seized Rs 1 lakh 25 thousand from his possession. Personnel from the office of the District Forest Officer of East Khasi Hills seized a truck carrying illegally felled timber from Klew village in Ri Bhoi district.
