Morigaon DC stresses awareness on cashless transaction system

MORIAGON, Dec 31: Morigaon Deputy Commissioner Hemen Das has strictly ordered BDOs and Panchayat secretaries to start the process of cashless transaction in 94 GPs of the district from January 2 to January 12 so that the people of rural areas can identify key methods like debit card, credit card, and prepaid cards, internet banking mobile, UPi, e-wallet, apps like SBI buddy PayTM and Rupay Card, along with AEPS using Pos devices.

For success of the cashless transaction method in rural areas, an awareness programme was organized under the president ship of Deputy Commissioner Hemen Das in the conference hall of DRDA, Morigaon on Friday where ADC-Anta Gogoi, Election Officer Sukanya Bora, BDOs of five blocks CSC operators took part.

On the other hand, Nirud Barman, State Coorditor, e-governce and CSC, Assam trained them about the use of free-e-wallet and other modes of the digital payments. Besides, Morigaon e-governce and CSC department in cooperation with Bank Mager, Charaibahi College Principal and local people on Saturday organized a camp on cashless transaction at Barbhagia, Charaibahi, Morigaon which was conducted by Mahanda th, DPM, e-governce and CSC, Morigaon.The meeting was also attended by Kalam Uddin, PM, e-governce and CSC, Morigaon.
