Mortel Remains of Martyred Jawan Maneshwar Basumatary to reach Tamulpur via Helicopter

Guwahati: The mortal remains of the martyred CRPF Jawan Maneshwar Basumatary reached Guwahati LGBI airport in the evening hours today.

The Indian Air Force had sent its C-17 aircraft to Srinagar from the Hindon Air Base to carry the mortal remains of CRPF personnel killed in the Pulwama terror attack.

Meanwhile, the body of the martyred jawan was sent to his native village in Tamulpur under Baksa District in a Helicopter.

Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal paying tribute to the martyred soldier stated before the media that the sacrifices of the all the soldiers would not go in vain. The Government of India is looking into the issue on a priority basis.

Along with Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, State Finance Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also paid his tribute the brave soldier from the land of Assam.

Both the leaders were seen lending shoulders to the mortal remains of the brave Assam son today at LGBI Airport in Guwahati.
