MPCC slams Pala over suspension of PN Syiem

SHILLONG, Oct 19: The Meghalaya Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) slammed two-time sitting MP Vincent H Pala over the issue of suspension of two-time Mawsynram constituency MLA/MDC and Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Khasi Autonomous District Council (KHADC) Pynshngain N Syiem.

On Wednesday, hundred odd functiories of Mawsynram Block Congress Committee turned up at the residence of MPCC president DD Lapang to show their solidarity with the party leadership to suspend Pynshngain N Syiem.

The MPCC president, in course of his explation about the reasons that prompted the party to suspend the two-time MLA/MDC and CEM elected from Mawsynram constituency, criticized the Shillong MP for his utterance that has deviated the party’s official stand.

Pala said the suspension of Syiem was hasty. Shooting back at the allegations, Lapang related to a series of defiant moves by the suspended Congress MLA/MDC and CEM.

Syiem is a vocal representative and has a subtle mentor in Vincent H Pala to take on Mukul Sangma.
