MPYC to continue fight against CAB, challenged to expose lies on social media by alleged BJP puppets

Shillong: In view of the recent developments regarding the much debated Citizenship Amendment Bill, 2016, the Meghalaya Pradesh Youth Congress (MPYC) on Tuesday stated to maintain their fight against the controversial CAB’ 16 intact. The body further challenged the state Government to expose the lies being put out on social media by a certain section of people since the last couple of days.

As per a press communiqué, MPYC President, Richard M Mark said that Whatsapp was flooded in the last couple of days by some unknown person called Hayithung Bill Lotha who hailed Chief Minister Conrad Sangma as an iconic NE hero for successfully stalling and thwarting the CAB in Rajya Sabha.

Marak also claimed it to be a paid PR stunt to save face for all the fiasco that CM Conrad Sangma has been facing recently regarding his lip service protest against the CAB of his political masters.

“Who Lotha is no one knows or cares and how he represents the NE peoples to hail a failing pseudo-leader as an iconic hero is beyond understanding?” Marak questioned.

Marak slamming CM Conrad Sangma tagged him to be spinelessness and inconsequential in the BJP's greater scheme of things. “In the way, he has been only using empty self-publicized threats with no action and the way he and his partners were ignored the last time they went to meet the Prime Minister,” added Marak.

Furthermore, the press statement also highlighted the fact that PM Narendra Modi-led BJP Government is committed to the CAB’ 16, similarly, BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav has also informed that CAB will be placed for approval in the Rajya Sabha as a supplementary bill.

Meanwhile, MPYC stated they would stand against the bill and will always fight against anti-Indian, anti-people elements like BJP and their puppets.
