Mr. Saraighat RG Baruah Body Building meet on March 8

GUWAHATI, March 4: Mr Saraighat RG Baruah memorial All India Classic Body Building championship will be held at the ITA Centre, Machkhowa on March 8. The title winner will earn cash award of Rs one lakh.

Addressing a media conference Bhabajyoti Goswami, the general secretary of the organizing committee, said that the meet will be iugurated by Sarbanda Sonowal, the Union Sports Minister, in the afternoon and competition will begin in the evening. All top 20 body builders of the country, including Mr India Sangram Chowgle, will take part in the competition. The first 10 position holders will receive cash award. The amount for the first and second runners up are rs 75,000 and Rs 50,000 respectively. Goswami today also announced the me of the Assam team that will take part in the competition. Apart from Goswami the media conference was also attended by Paramesh Dutta, the chairman of the organizing committee. Assam squad: A Bobby Singh, Dipankar Saikia, Robi Meitei, Sashanka Sharma, Deepjyoti Phukan, Sumit Kumar Saikia, Subhadeep Baidya, Dipu Dutta and Khiprajit Hazarika.
