DHUBRI, March 8: In a joint operation, troops of Panbari based Army camp of the Agia Brigade under the aegis of Red Horns Division along with Assam police, apprehended one Muslim United Liberation Tigers of Assam (MULTA) cadre in the wee hours today. The terrorist was apprehended from village Baijer Alga in Dhubri district. One 9 mm factory made pistol, four live rounds and other war like stores were recovered during the operation, said an Army official. Public Relation Officer (Defence) Lt Col Suneet Newton said that the MULTA recently is coming back to prominence and is expected to carry out subversive activities during the forthcoming BTC elections. “The operation will put a jolt on the nefarious designs of the terrorist organization,” he said.
