Multi specialty healthcare unit iugurated

SILCHAR, Oct 29: To cater to the need of healthcare units with advanced medical facilities, a new healthcare establishment with multi specialty, Barak Hub, a multi speciality healthcare unit in association with Manipal Hospital Group of Kartaka, was formally iugurated by S Viswathan, Deputy Commissioner of Cachar, in Chencoorie area, near Ashram Road, of this town today. The programme began with the lighting of the auspicious lamp by the Deputy Commissioner and other dignitaries.

Speaking on the occasion, S Viswathan said the hospitals of southern part of India are renowned all over the world for their modern health infrastructure. He expressed his hope that the newly launched healthcare facility will reduce the need of the people of this remote valley to go to other parts of the country for advanced medical treatments. Dr. Ravichand Siddachari, consultant and chief liver transplant surgeon of Manipal Hospital, said that the healthcare unit will try its level best to serve the people of the region as it lacks hospitals with advanced and modern facilities.

Rahul Sharma, chief marketing mager of Manipal Group for northeast region, said the premier institution is among the leading healthcare service providers in the country. The Bengaluru based hospital has been accredited by the tiol Accreditation Board for Hospitals (BH) for its performance in the field of high quality health care.  He further said that now with the establishment of the healthcare unit, the people of this remote valley can avail themselves of their expertise in modern healthcare at affordable costs.

Ri Paul, ward commissioner of Silchar Municipal Board, said it is indeed commendable that the Manipal Group has taken this initiative to open a healthcare unit in this strategic location which is the gateway for the people of Tripura, Manipur and Mizoram. The vote of thanks was delivered by Dr. Anup Roy. Others present on the occasion included Sanjeev Rai, Trideb Choudhury, Sunil Bhattacharjee and Nilanjan Chakroborty.
