'Muslims used as vote bank during election'

MARGHERITA, May 28: The All Assam Muslim Yuba Parishad (Socialist), Ledo Branch Committee  feliciated Ledo Masjid Imam and other distinguished persons of Ledo on Thursday.  Md Siraj Ahmed and Md Abdullah Khan, president and secretary of All Assam Muslim Yuba Parishad (Socialist), were present during the feliciation programme held at Ledo Bazaar Eidgah. Md Siraj Ahmed in his iugural speech said that Muslim people of Assam had contributed a lot to the greater Assamese society but still many Muslim people continued to remain deprived of education, health, sanitation and basic amenities. He alleged that Muslims were used by political parties as vote bank during election. All Assam Muslim Yuba Parishad (Socialist) Margherita Subdivision Committee and Regiol Committee leaders were present during the felicitation.
