Mysterious disappearance of woman in Bongaigaon

Bongaigaon, April 21: Panic prevailed in Bongaigaon following the mysterious disappearance of a woman. Durgeswari Ray Pathak (40), wife of Jagadish Ray, a resident of Dolaigaon Bakharapara area of Bongaigaon, has been missing since April 20. Jagadish Ray said that he went for work at 10.30 am on April 20. “She had to go to a meeting.  When she did not go for the meeting, some women came to our house to call on her. Since then she has been missing. Her mobile phone and some money which she had were found in the house. Later we lodged a missing report in North Bongaigaon police point,” he said. Police arrived and started enquiry. Talking to media persons, OC, North Bongaigaon Police point said that though it had not been confirmed yet, the police suspect it to be a case of murder. Durgeswari Ray Pathak allegedly had a clash with her brother’s family over their father’s property.
