N.F.Railway Construction Celebrates 64th Railway Week

GUWAHATI: The N.F.Railway Construction Organization celebrated the 64th Railway Week with proper gaiety and merriment at Rang Bhawan, Maligaon on April 13, 2019.

NK Prasad, General Manager/Construction Organization who was the Chief Guest gave away prizes to the awardees and also addressed to the congregation comprising of Officers, Staff and family of N.F.Railway Construction fraternity. In a nut-shell GM/Const spoke to the gatherings about achievement done in the previous year and ongoing projects and also future projects to be undertaken by Construction Organization of NF Railway. Before that the GM/Const inaugurated the programme by lighting a lamp.

AK Yadav, Chief administrative Officer/ Const 1 also addressed the gathering mentioning about various projects being undertaken by Construction Organization in entire NE Region and also cited last year’s record breaking performance completion of Bogibeel Bridge Project in particular which was inaugurated by the Prime Minister on December 25, 2018.

According to a press release, in the function, 69 individuals were awarded while 17 Group award consisting of 87 Officers and Staff of Construction Organization besides five efficiency shields for showing exemplary and outstanding performance during the last year. A Group Cash Prize was also awarded to the officers and staff whose dedicated and tireless services made possible to complete much awaited India’s longest Rail-cum-Road Bridge and Asia’s second longest Rail-cum-Road, the Bogibeel Bridge Project. In his welcome speech, Nilmani Brahma, Chief Engineer/Const 9 briefly illustrated the Construction Organization’s performance done in the last year and congratulated all the awardees for their satisfactory performance shown in their respective field. The vote of thanks was given by Rituraj Das, APO/Const before concluding the programme with the National Anthem.
