Kokrajhar, April 30: BTC Executive Member (EM) of Agriculture, Ansumwi Khunggur Boro inaugurated the new naamghar at Gabindapur near Mushalpur in Baksa district on Sunday. In his inaugural speech, Boro said the religious centres were places not just for worship but for moral and social cohesion. He said the establishment of naamghar at Gabindapur would enhance the moral and social integrity in the locality. He called upon all to come forward to donate and develop the naamghar. He also said that he would try to contribute from his side in every possible way. The EM also held a brief meeting with the Bathou religious leaders at Barama on the same day and assured to look after the half-done boundary wall and community hall.
