KOHIMA: Kohima DC Gregory Thejawelie has informed all officials concerned that a meeting will be held at 11:00 am at the DC Conference Hall here on July 19. The meeting will chalk out work distribution and other arrangements in regard to ensuing Independence Day celebration at New Secretariat plaza here, stated a release.

ROTA Virus Vaccine campaign

TUENSANG: Dr. Thungchonpeni Patton DIO (RCH &UIP) convened a meeting at ADC’s Office chamber Tuensang on 12th July 2019. The meeting was attended by the School Education department, NGOs and Ward Union Tuensang. The meeting discussed sensitization and awareness campaign about ROTA Virus Vaccine which will be introduced by end of July 2019. The purpose of the meeting was to disseminate the information regarding the vaccine to grass root level of the district.

Poshan Abhiyan meet held

CHANGTONGYA: A meeting was held at the Office Chamber of SDO (C) Office Chantongya on 11th July 2019, for formulating Action Plan under "Poshan Abhiyan". Chairing the meeting, SDO (Civil) Chantongya Moakhumzuk Tzudir sought cooperation of the officials for making the programme a success, stated a release. During the meeting, Chantongya CDPO Sentimenla highlighted the 'Action Plan for IEC' under Poshan Abhiyan, the IEC strategy, aims and its objectives. She also encouraged all the stakeholders to spread the publicity awareness programme, which commenced from July 12 and will continue till August 26 under Changtongya CDPO.

Traffic issues in Tuensang discussed

TUENSANG: The traffic and parking problems within Tuensang town causing public safety situations as raised by the senior citizens, among other issues, were discussed in the The Tuensang District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting chaired by ADC Shamator, T. Lankonsen Tsanglaoat at the DC Conference Hall here on Friday. The house decided to convene a meeting inclusive of district administration, OC traffic and Police Department, Tuensang. The meeting also discussed the proposal of extension of local ground and construction of rostrum at Chessore HQ to be forwarded to the government for the approval. The work distribution for the Independence Day 2019 was also discussed. The Medical department highlighted the ROTA Virus Vaccine campaign which will be started soon. DPO DIO (RCH&UIP) Tuensang requested all the members to sensitize the people to get the vaccine during this campaign period. Discussing the situation caused by the digging of the roadside by the telecable companies and the district administration, the house directed the department concerned to update district administration on the problems.
