KOHIMA: The Department of Women Resources Development in pursuance to the Ministry of Women & Child Development envisaged in section 4 of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, the Internal Committee (IC) has been made obligatory to be constituted in every workplaces/directorate/NGOs/autonomous body/ organization to provide protection and redress complaints of sexual harassment cases against women in the State in the manner prescribed therein. All the departments under the State have been requested to take action accordingly and intimate this department at the earliest for onward submission to the Ministry of Women & Child Development, stated a DIPR release.

Farewell programme

KOHIMA: Zunheboto district bid farewell to outgoing DC Shanavas C and SDO (C) Relise Sangtam at Zunheboto Town Hall on Wednesday. The programme was chaired by James Renbi Kikon, EAC Zunheboto. Short speeches were delivered by TL Kiusumong, ADC Satakha, T Uniel Kichu Ao, SP Zunheboto, Sumi Hoho and Sumi Kukami Hoho. In their farewell speeches, both the officers thanked the people of Zunheboto for their co-operation. They stated said that development comes if all work together and added that though they tried their best they could not complete all the works and further requested the public to co-operate with the new DC and SDO, stated a DIPR release.
