Nagaland Governor donates for Chief Minister’s Relief Fund

KOHIMA, Aug 6: The Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya has announced to contribute a sum of Rs One Lakh from his salary towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund in aid of the people affected due to incessant rainfall for the last few weeks resulting in major disaster, a press release informed on Monday.

The Governor made an appeal to all citizens in the State to donate generously towards the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund. He also appealed to the people to stand in solidarity with the distressed affected people in the State and be part of the effort to support them in this hour of crisis.

Earlier, Governor Acharya, through the Assam Rifles, had arranged for essential commodities like rice, dal, refine oil, sugar, tinned milk and tea leaves to be distributed to the needy at Kiphire district. The essential commodities have been received by the District Administration on 5th August 2018 and will be distributed amongst the neediest.
