Nagaland Governor Padmanabha Balakrishna Acharya lays foundation stone of Jagannath Temple

Bokajan, July 15: Nagaland Governor Padmanabha Balakrishna Acharya on Sunday laid the foundation stone of the Jagannath Temple in Nirap Timung village along the Assam-Nagaland inter-state border in East Karbi Anglong. Governor Acharya formally participated in the ground-breaking ceremony and laid the foundation stone of the temple in presence of a host of dignitaries from the neighbouring State of Nagaland. The Governor was accompanied by his wife Kavita Acharya.

The temple will be built by Jagannath Seva Samiti over land measuring seven bighas and will have an educational institute along with a primary health centre to cater to the needs of the local residents. The land has been donated by a trust member and noted physician Dr NC Mohanty. MLA Dr Numal Momin, MAC Lonki Timung and Pabitra Rongpi were present, among others.
