Narayana Superspeciality Hospital Conducts Complicated Surgery on A 57-Year Old Lady

GUWAHATI: A team of specialist surgeons from Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Guwahati successfully operated on a 57-year old lady patient who was suffering from a large incisional hernia which was already operated four times in the past. She was presented with third recurrence at the hospital. Dr Pinak Dasgupta, Consultant – GI Surgery who was the Chief Surgeon, mentioned that the mammoth task of reconstructing the whole abdominal wall which had multiple defects was indeed an uphill task. He said, “This was the first time that this kind of surgery for such extensive hernia repair was done in North East.”
