National Level Monitoring (NLM) Assessing Extended Gram Swaraj Abhiyan from August 6 to 11

DHUBRI: In the Institutional National Level Monitoring (NLM) under the Ministry of Rural Development (MORD), Student Relief Society (SRS) has been assessing Extended Gram Swaraj Abhiyan (EGSA) from August 6 to 11. In its EGSA assessment process, the NLM team visited many villages in South Salmara while monitoring activities under the EGSA in villages like Ravatary and Baladmari. The NLM team comprising Vikram Yadav and Sudhir Kumar Garg as institutional monitors from the Union Ministry of Rural Development evaluated seven privilege schemes run by Central government under EGSA. Both the monitors also interacted with the beneficiaries of Ujjawal, Saubhagya, Ujjala, Jan-Dhan, Jivan Jyoti, Suraksha Bima and Indradhanush. The team also visited 4 village schools and inspected the sanitation and drop-out status in the schools.

South Salmara Block Development Officer (BDO), Nurul Islam and secretary of South Salmara Goan Panchayat, Nararuddin Ahmed accompanied the NLM team and extended co-operation in conducting the assessment.
