National Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe Hub (NSSH) Scheme Under Ministry of MSME

GUWAHATI: The 3rd Vendor Development Program under “National Scheduled Caste & Scheduled Tribe Hub (NSSH) Scheme” was organised by Assam Small Industries Development Corporation Limited (ASIDC), Nodal Agency for implementation of the NSSH in Assam in association with North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (NEDFi) on February 20, 2019 at the Auditorium, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Azara, Assam. The Programme was organised with the support of PHD Chamber of Commerce in accordance with the NSSH Scheme which is an initiative of the Ministry of Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) targeted towards developing a supportive ecosystem for SC/ST entrepreneurs. It was attended by around 80 numbers of SC/ST entrepreneurs from in and around Rani and Azara.

The VDP was aimed to bring together leading CPSEs from different sectors and initiate discussion to understand the gaps and their challenges in realizing the mandate of Public Procurement Policy. Pranjal Phukan, Chief Manager (C&P), Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL), VK Singha, Dy Manager (C&P), NEEPCO, and Vikash Rathi, Dy CMM/C&W, Northeast Frontier Railways were amongst others participated in the VDP. Presentations were given by them to explain the procedure of participation in the tendering process of their respective organisations. They also spoke on the challenges faced by CPSEs in procuring goods and services from SC/ ST entrepreneurs, a press release stated.
