National Socialist Council of Nagaland (U) Linkmen Nabbed by Indian Army on the Assam-Arunachal Border

JOYSAGAR, July 23: Indian Army’s Rajputna Division nabbed two suspected NSCN (U) linkmen on Sunday from the Assam-Arunachal border area. During regular checking, the Army team nabbed two persons on suspicion and recovered Rs 5 lakh from their bag. The accused persons confessed that the money was being carried to the NSCN (U) camp situated in a secret place in Arunachal Pradesh and they had collected the money from the family of a businessman as ransom. The linkmen also informed that two businessmen had been abducted by the outfit some days earlier and the outfit had demanded Rs 10 lakh as ransom. Accordingly, the first phase money was being taken by the linkmen to the camp when they were nabbed by the Army. The linkmen have been identified as Dongbung Hukhun and Bhabang Hukhun, sources added.
