Nationalist People’s Party Mayong forms panel

JAGIROAD: In a meeting of the Nationalist People’s Party (NPP) held on Sunday, the Mayong Block Committee of the district was formed. The meeting formed the committee with Michika Gogoi as president, Matlib Ali as working president and Prtha Deuri as general secretary. The meeting held in view of the ensuing Lok Sabha poll, discussed the CAB, implementation of Assam Accord, revival of Nagaon and Cachar Paper Mills and the attitude of the Central Government towards the north-eastern region.

The meeting also decided to project 25 candidates for all the LS seats of the Northeast. The meeting was attended by NPP State assistant coordinator Divas Phukan, Youth Morcha assistant coordinator ND Hazarika, Jadumoni Boro, Tilak Changma and others.
