NCC group camp begins at DHSK College

Dibrugarh, Jan 3: The group camp of 10 Assam Battalion NCC started from January 2 at DHSK College.

Around 500 NCC cadets are participating in the camp. Colonel Ghuman said that the objectives of this camp were to enhance persolity development and leadership quality as well as to provide sufficient training to the cadet at arms operation. Moreover, he said, cadets would be selected for ensuing Republic Day parade from this camping event.

The college authority has newly renovated the DHSK Boys' Hostel to provide better lodging facility of the participating cadets. Cadets attending the camp begin their day with physical training and end day's activity with evening cultural programme. Training of the cadets is being done under the supervision of 10 Assam Battalion officers. A parade ground has also been prepared at the open field located behind the college premises.

Group Commander Sanjiv Manchand, who was here to supervise the camp, has expressed his satisfaction at the successful launch of this event.
