NCHAC CEM stresses preservation of culture

Haflong, April 29: The Chief Executive Member of N C Hills Autonomous Council stressed preservation of culture, tradition and language of all the tribal communities of Dima Hasao, while appealing to them not to get involved in politicizing problems like salary, rather to help the council to enhance the revenue of the council so that the salary problem could be solved at the earliest.

 The Chief Executive Member of NC Hills Autonomous Council was addressing a huge gathering of mouzaders, gaon buras, council officials and also officials of entrusted department under the administrative control of NCHAC during the celebration of the 67th foundation day of NC Hills Autonomous Council on Sunday.

The 67th foundation day of NC Hills Autonomous Council was celebrated at the premises of NCHAC with a day-long programme and attended by chairperson, Ranu Langthasa, deputy chairman H B Chetri, MLA B B Hagjer, Deputy Commissioner Amithabkh Rajkhowa, Principal Secretary Naresh Ghose, Principal Secretary Mukut Kemprai and other dignitaries.

 The programme was started with lighting of lamp by chief guest and Chief Executive Member of NCHAC, Debolal Gorlosa.

 All the speakers, while appreciating all the mouzaders and gaon buras for their effort to make this district peaceful and also maintaining harmony, said Dima Hasao had been named as mini India as it was home to people of various tribes as well as non-tribal people who had been living with brotherhood and unity since time immemorial.
