NDFB rebel, over-ground workers bbed

Bongaigaon, Dec 23: In a joint operation, Chirang district police and Indian Army bbed one NDFB (S) hardcore cadre and two over ground workers on Tuesday night. The operation was carried out in the northern part of Chirang district in Runikhata area. The bbed cadre has been identified as Erenon Basumatary (40), son of Gajendra Basumatary, a resident of Santipara Village No 1 of Chirang district. The two over ground workers are Butabenga Basumatary (42), son of Tekhla Basumatary, a resident of Didampuri village of Chirang district and San ban Wari (44), son of Maheswar Wari, a resident of Santipara Village No 1 of Chirang district. One country-made pistol, one hand grede, four live ammunition and extortion money amounting to Rs 5.48 lakh was recovered from their possession.
