NDFB (S) denies hand in attack on jourlist

KOKRAJHAR, June 20: The NDFB-S has denied any role in the attack on jourlist Prashanta Kumar, a local correspondent of an Assamese daily in Udalguri, who was shot at by unidentified gunmen on Thursday evening at Khairabari in Udalguri district. The information and publicity secretary of the NDFB (S) I. Sulung called up a section of media persons saying that the outfit was not involved in the attack, adding that the three persons arrested were not NDFB-S cadres. He also called upon the security forces not to harass the innocent civilians in the me of NDFB-S.
