NDFB (Saoraigwra) cadre nabbed in Kokrajhar in a joint operation launched by SDPO, Gossaigaon

KOKRAJHAR: Based on specific information, a joint operation was launched by SDPO, Gossaigaon along with army and COBRA in the Kachugaon PS area on Wednesday morning in the district and an NDFB cadre was nabbed along with arms and ammunition.

Sources from the district police said one NDFB cadre belonging to B. Saoraigwra faction, identified as Rohiton Narzary (33), son of Dharamdas Narzary of Oxiguri village under Soraibil Outpost of Gossaigaon PS, was apprehended with an AK-47 rifle, one 7.65 mm Pistol and 15 rounds of ammunition. On further interrogation, he led to the recovery of one AK-56 rifle, one magazine and 21 rounds of ammunitions, which were hidden underground in his house.

He was earlier arrested in the year 2017. His elder brother who was Sergeant Major of the outfit Sandw was killed in an encounter with police in December, 2017. Further interrogation is going on.
