NDFB(S) cadre apprehended

BONGAIGAON, June 26:   The Chirang district police in association with Indian Army apprehended one NDFB(S) rebel on Monday along with arms. Talking to press Sankarbrata Ray Medhi, SP, Chirang said that responding to reliable inputs; an MCP was placed on NH-31C at Polasbari village along with team of Army. "During the course of checking one person mely, Sudem rjary alias N. Sujukhang rjary,( 22) , son of  Monen rjary of No.1 Tukrajahar village under Runikhata PS of Chirang district was apprehended. One 7.65 mm pistol, two magazines and five round 7.65 mm live ammunition were recovered from his possession. During prelimiry interrogation, he revealed that he was a Myanmar trained cadre of NDFB(S). He joined the NDFB(S) in the year 2014. After training he returned to Chirang and during Operation All Out, fled to Bangalore to avoid arrest. Recently, he has returned from Bangalore and on Monday while he was moving in Sidli area he was apprehended. A case is being registered in this regard," SP said.
