NDFB(S) rebel with grede bbed

Bongaigaon, Nov 11: Chirang district police bbed one NDFB(S) rebel on Saturday. Talking to media persons, Bedanta Prakash Barkakoty, Additiol SP, Chirang, said that based on reliable intelligence input regarding  the presence of freshly-inducted cadres from Myanmar into Chirang district, a joint ambush and search operation  was launched under the leadership of SDPO Bijni and OC Panbari PS by Chirang Police and Army in the forest areas near Sahabghat forest beat in the wee hours of Saturday.
 “An ambush was laid from 5 am and at about 6:10 am, some suspicious movement was observed. The suspect on being challenged attempted to flee but was successfully chased down and apprehended. One HE 36 grede, one mobile phone and one SIM card were recovered from his possession. On spot questioning of the suspect, he revealed his identity as Mithinga Basumatary (22) alias B.Maoswn, son of  Khanindra Basumatary, resident of  Thaikraoguri village under  Panbari PS of Chirang district. He is a 42nd batch Myanmar trained cadre of NDFB(S) and was inducted into Chirang few days back from Myanmar via Mon district of galand with the task of providing logistics to Bidai group and improving ground presence of the organization and facilitating extortion. With the apprehension of Maoswm, the tally of the fresh cadres apprehended this week has risen to three in Chirang district. This has dealt a severe blow to the nefarious designs of the banned militant organization,” the Additiol SP said.
