NDRF organises mobile hospital in flood-affected areas

 GUWAHATI, Sept 25: A team of doctors, medic and paramedic staff of NDRF Guwahati organized a mobile hospital at Gobardha Kharija Bijni college under Bargar revenue circle  of Barpeta district. 690 patients with chronic and seasol diseases including Hepatitis B & C were diagnosed, blood group of school children of High School Bogbar were checked  by the team. Local people were also given health tips and sensitized to take due precaution against the seasol diseases that sometimes takes the shape of epidemic. The aim of organizing medical camp is to ensure the good health of deprived, underprivileged and poor people who do not have access to good hospitals due to fincial constraints. Most of the patients who visited the camp were school children, rickshaw pullers, vendors & laborers. 

Chief Medical Officer  of 1st BN NDRF K B Singh, said, “Hepatitis is an inflammation of the liver. Inflammation causes soreness and swelling. Hepatitis can be caused by many things. We hope our camp will certainly trigger change in the existing life pattern of the local people so that they remain medically fit to earn their livelihood and  such camps will be organized in future”.
