NE media festival begins

GUWAHATI, Dec 22: North East Media Sports Festival kicked off with cricket event at the Judges’ Field here today. Altogether 14 teams are taking part in the championship which will be continued till December 30. The iugural function of the event was held today at the same venue which was attended by VK Verma, the Executive Director (HR&A) of OIL as chief Guest and BK Panda, Senior Divisiol Mager of Life Insurance Corporation of India, as the Guest of Honour along with two top officials of OIL-Tridib Duvarah and SK Roy respectively, veteran sports jourlists Premadhar Sarma, former and current president of ASJA- Pabitra Gogoi and Subodh Malla Barua respectively and Maging Editor of DY365 Pranoy Bordoloi. Hosts Assam Sports Jourlists Association and Dy365 entered into the semi fils. The cricket championship will be followed by three more competitions- Badminton, Chess and Football.
