There are environmental issues like water pollution but through Effluent Treatment Plant the water pollution can be reduced.”

When asked about the proposed project of Lekhapani Coal Base Power Project, N Kumar said that NECF CIL Margherita had sufficient coal but due to the presence of high grade coal it would be difficult to run such a big power-based Project. “Hence we have to purchase coal from outside so that we can mix the coal with high grade coal of NECF CIL Margherita to run the Lekhapani Coal Base Power Project smoothly,” he added.
