Guwahati: State Finance Minister and North East Democratic Alliance (NEDA) convener Himanta Biswa Sarma participates in Grand Padyatra (roadshow) from Guwahati’s Sonaram Field today evening.
As per BJP report, the Padyatra (roadshow) will start from Sonaram Field and will continue upto F.A.Road via Bharalamukh State Bank near Machkhowa Flyover.
The Minister will also move towards Kumarpara area, Fatasil Bazaar, Ambari Tiniali and then head towards Kalapahar Cycle Factory area, Battalion Gate, Lal Ganesh Tiniali, Odalbakra.
Himanta will also address a public meeting at Odalbakra Jana Jati Yuva Kristi Parishad Khelpathar thereafter.
Meanwhile, thousands of the BJP supporters had already gathered at the Sonaram filed near Bharalumukh with banners shouting slogans in support of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
A carnival-like atmosphere has been witnessed in the area of Bharalumukh ahead of the Phase-III election.
It is to be noted that the Phase-III Lok Sabha elections will be held on April 23, 2019 in Guwahati, Barpeta, Dhubri and Kokrajhar in Assam.
